Striped Beets

Baby striped beets are about the size of a quarter attached to seven inches of greens. The sweetest of all beets, the flavor of this variety is much like the common red beet but is much more mild. Sliced, a striped white and red flesh is revealed.

Storage
» Cut off the tops two inches above the root, and refrigerate beets in plastic bags
» Beets will keep for 7 to 10 days in the crisper

Handling
» Avoid placing the case or raw product on non-sanitized kitchen counter tops to help prevent the potential for cross contamination.

Preparation
» Prepare as needed. Try not to use product from the previous day.
» Wash thoroughly before use
