The fuyu persimmon is a deeply orange fruit that is firm, crispy and delicately sweet when not fully ripe and darker, jelly-like and amazingly sweet when fully ripe.

Storage
» Fuyu persimmons should be stored in the refrigerator.
» Do not stack product on top of the cases or cause the fuyu persimmons to be crushed.
» Remove any fuyu persimmons with decay, damage or that begin to mold immediately.

Handling
» Follow good rotation practices, first shipments received should be used first.
» Fresh fuyu persimmons have an expected shelf life of about 3 days. Plan to rotate frequently to maintain maximum quality.
» Avoid placing fuyu persimmons on non-sanitized kitchen counter tops to help prevent the potential for cross contamination.
» Always limit the time the product is out of refrigeration.

Preparation
» Prep fresh daily as needed. Wash only immediately before use
