Storage
» Store in the dry storage area of the kitchen. (Preferably in a dark area with light humidity)
» Do not store in a cooler.
» Plantains produce ethylene.

Handling
» Follow good rotation practices, first shipments received should be used first.
» Do not wash plantains before storing.
» Expected shelf life of plantains is 3-5 days.
» Handle with care, do not drop or shake as plantains will bruise easily.
» Maintain a high humidity level to minimize water loss and skin browning.

» Prepare as needed. Try not to use product from the previous day.
